Programming

Programming will give you the ability to understand how computers work, to understand societal problems and to solve them, but also to make the most beautiful and craziest things. Programming is not just for developing websites and games, but can also be used to produce art, animations, paintings and music. Felienne Hermans explains how learning to program works. Writing code is a creative task. Very much like composing music. And people can learn such skills.

Felienne has taught at the TU Delft and is currently professor at Leiden University, where she teaches at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science.
